The Ratings & Reviews is a section on App Store Product Pages devoted to customer reviews.
In the iOS 11 App Store Product Page, the Ratings & Reviews section includes the Average Star Ratings & Total Number of Ratings, Star Ratings Distribution, and written customer reviews inside a carousel. If a visitor clicks “See All,” they will be redirected to a page devoted to the Ratings & Reviews of an app, which includes the same star ratings but all written customer reviews. Developers can choose whether to reset these metrics upon each new app version submission. They can also respond to written customer reviews to directly address feedback, questions, or concerns. The customer is notified of the response and is afforded the option to update their review.
In the Google Play Product Page, the Ratings & Reviews section includes the same overview of star ratings (Average Star Ratings & Total Number of Ratings and Star Ratings Distribution). It also includes detailed Feature Ratings for games (Gameplay Star Rating, Graphics Star Rating, and Control Star Ratings) and details Top Features for apps. Below that is Review Highlights (written customer reviews). If a visitor clicks anywhere near the Star Ratings overview or Review Highlights, they will be redirected to a page devoted to Ratings & Reviews of that app. This includes the same star ratings but with customer reviews written out. Developers are unable to reset these metrics. However, they can write one public reply on each written customer review, which can be edited at any time.
